The Felt Family Life

Okay, well the thing about having a blog, is that you actually have to write in it. 😉 I've been in my "busy season" of school routines, birthdays, work, volunteering, and prep for the upcoming holidays. Who am I kidding....that's not the busy season, that's my regular life! It's a 24/7 thing with a few hours allotted for sleep.   ;^) Anyway, I thought I'd talk about the kids today. They're doing great. They really are. As their mom, I worry about whether they're happy and healthy, and whether Brad and I are raising decent human beings, and not entitled jerks who will be a drain on society. Those kinds of things. You know? LOL. There have been some recent events lately that have assured me that we are on the right track, and perhaps the Felt kids will not grow up to be Jerky McJerksons after all.   It seems to me that Serenity has been a very thoughtful little girl from a very young age. Why are you taking so many pictures?!!  Kindergarten: a dream come true!! Sigh....I dropped my babies off at school today. I walked Serenity and Strider into their new classrooms...with Serenity starting 2nd Grade, and Strider finally joining his big sister at "big kids' school" for Kindergarten. Both kids were excited, but Strider was practically bouncing up and down... "I can't believe I finally get to go to Kindergarten! It's like a dream come true!". LOL. Gotta love that enthusiasm. Serenity's teacher was absent from school orientation last week due to a medical issue with her eye, so Serenity had not met Mrs Archer until this morning. After introductions, I walked Serenity over to her desk, which had a word search on it made up of her classmates' names. I chit-chatted with her for a couple of minutes, and she was pretty quiet. We hugged 2 or 3 times and I gave her a kiss, and told...
